Coronation Street Spoiler: Carla Handcuffed on Fraud Accusations: Anniversary with Lisa Blown Up by Becky’s Big Prank
On one end of the street, Evelyn shivers in a dark alley; on the other, Carla Connor feels like she’s living in a romantic movie.
She’s preparing the perfect anniversary celebration for her relationship with Lisa Swain: marking their journey from the moment they met to officially becoming a couple, a few sweet surprises, a few promises for the future.
But Corrie never lets her character have a perfect day.
Before she can even open the champagne, Carla finds herself sitting under the blinding white lights at the police station, being questioned on suspicion of financial fraud.

Carla’s arrival at the police station stems from a suspicious phone call. The factory she manages is suddenly under investigation for its financial activities, making her the primary suspect. Carla wasn’t the meek, easily intimidated type, but being handcuffed and taken away right in the middle of celebrating Lisa’s anniversary was enough to shatter all her composure. At the station, a barrage of questions poured in, hinting at manipulated data and unclear money laundering. Although there was ultimately insufficient evidence to keep Carla in custody, the damage to her honor and trust was deeply ingrained.

The first person Carla thought of upon leaving the interrogation room was… Becky Swain. Becky – Lisa’s supposedly dead ex-wife – returned like a storm, and from then on, all of Carla’s troubles seemed to stem from her. Becky was a police officer, had connections, information, and most importantly: a motive to destroy Lisa’s new life with another woman.
