Coronation Street Spoiler: December 12th Night in Chaos: Carla Rejected, the Platt Family Falls Apart, Joanie Knockes Down the Christmas Tree
The December 12th episode was like a drama bag crammed with emotions and then ripped open on stage.
Corrie chose the perfect time during the holiday season, when people should be warm and peaceful, to unleash a series of psychological blows aimed at almost every major character in the neighborhood.
Opening, Carla seeks out Lisa in a last-ditch effort.
After everything that has happened, from recording her conversation with Becky to the confrontation at number 6, Carla finally can’t take it anymore and chooses to speak her mind.

She admits she should never have left, that she never stopped loving Lisa, and that if she had the chance to go back, she would readily start over. Lisa listens to every word, and viewers can clearly feel that her heart still beats. But what life has thrown at them is not light. Lisa made it clear that feelings weren’t the issue; the problem was that time had passed, trust had been shattered, and she no longer had the strength to return to the old cycle.

Carla walked out of number 6 feeling both heartbroken and humiliated in her battle with Becky. Meanwhile, another detail was quietly stirring: Kit had just left her a voicemail about Ravensgill, about the mysterious company that bought the house just a week after Becky was presumed dead. If Carla heard it, it would be the key to turning the tables. But on the night of December 12th, the audience only saw a Carla sinking to the bottom, completely unaware that a glimmer of hope awaited her on the other end of the voicemail.
