Lisa is already familiar with dealing with criminals, but John is a dangerous type of villain because he knows how to hide, how to exploit chaos to erase his tracks.

A pile-up involving multiple cars, dozens of victims, and a host of panicked witnesses is the perfect environment for someone like John to strike or escape. The scenario most discussed by fans is Lisa arriving at the scene to assist in the accident investigation, only to realize something doesn’t fit: an action that doesn’t resemble a random accident, a familiar clue that has appeared in cases involving John.
