In Days, when Brady was hurting, he often chose to shoulder the burden himself, sometimes making things worse.

Before the tension could subside, another subplot arose: Xander turned to “grill” Sarah out of jealousy and suspicion related to Brady. It sounds like a romantic affair, but Days often uses jealousy as a smokescreen. While everyone is preoccupied with emotional arguments, bigger secrets quietly shift, changing hands, changing positions, waiting for the moment to be revealed.

Placing the three storylines side-by-side, you see a very clear picture: DiMera’s tomb is the domino of power, Bayview is the domino of emotion, and the Belle-Marlena conversation is the domino of morality. When one domino falls, the other two won’t last long. Salem is entering a phase where everyone thinks they’re doing the right thing to protect the one they love, but these very things are pushing people further apart.
