Emmerdale Spoiler: Charity is shocked to discover Mack secretly meets Chloe again – wedding on the brink of collapse
Warning: Contains spoilers for upcoming Emmerdale episodes now streaming early on ITVX.
In the latest episode of Emmerdale, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb)’s relationship is tested once again when the past comes knocking on their door.
While preparing for a family event, Charity accidentally catches Mack sneaking off with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) outside the pub.
The scene is dramatic: Mack is tense, constantly looking around, while Chloe quietly begs him to keep something a secret.
When Charity emerges from the darkness, her bewildered gaze seems to pierce both of them. “What is this?” – the cold question rings out, opening a new storm for Emmerdale.
It turns out that Chloe has returned to the village for an undeniable reason: the boy Reuben. Although she once claimed to have left everything, Chloe admitted that she wanted Mack to take more responsibility for his son. That meeting was only to negotiate Reuben’s future, but in Charity’s eyes, it was all a new betrayal.
Jealousy flared up. Charity questioned Mack: “You said it was all over, so why are you still hiding it?” Mack was confused, trying to explain that he just wanted to protect Charity from old troubles, but the excuse only deepened the distance between them.
The tension reached its peak when Charity said a bitter sentence: “Maybe you never really chose me.” The sentence left Mack speechless, and Chloe left in silence, leaving the couple facing a rift that was increasingly difficult to mend.
The episode ends with Charity alone in the empty kitchen, her eyes red from tears as she looks at the engagement ring. Her trembling whisper: “How can I trust you again?” signals a bleak future for the much-anticipated wedding.
