Tim and Sally’s marriage is heading for a serious blow-up because of Trisha Pinkerton. Sally believes Trisha groomed Tim when he was a teenager, but Tim keeps brushing it off as a harmless fling with an older woman, refusing to see it as abuse. That denial — plus the fact he secretly met Trisha on his wedding anniversary — leaves Sally furious and heartbroken.

In upcoming episodes, a tearful Sally turns up at Carla Connor’s with some post and ends up pouring her relationship problems out to Lisa Swain. Seeing how distraught Sally is, Carla quietly steps in by calling Tim and telling him to come and collect his wife, trying to stop things from spiralling even further.

The show’s executive producer Kate Brooks explains that Tim has struggled to recognise what happened to him as wrong because, at the time, he didn’t feel damaged by it and thought it was “every young lad’s dream.” But that mindset is about to be challenged as Corrie runs a parallel grooming storyline on the street involving coach Megan Walsh and student Will Driscoll. Tim will become closely involved, and watching how young and vulnerable Will is will finally force Tim to confront the truth about Trisha.

With the tension escalating, the crisis doesn’t look like it’s going away — and fans are already speculating the fallout could lead to a split, possibly even pushing Sally back toward her ex, Kevin Webster.
