While Carla and Abi struggle with love and trust, on another front, Bernie Winter becomes the focus of a public war.

Realizing that her husband’s stepdaughter – Asha Alahan – is increasingly withdrawn, Bernie questions her and discovers the reason: Asha was abused and humiliated by Naomi, a woman in the medical field, during her internship.

When confronted at the career fair, Naomi coldly denies, even threatening Asha about making “baseless accusations”.
