While Carla is struggling with her fear of a love rival, another story in Weatherfield is no less dramatic: the secret love affair between Abi Webster and Carl.

They have long been seeing each other behind the backs of Kevin – Abi’s legal husband, and also Carl’s half-brother.

This week, Abi decides to break up with Kevin, despite hiding the bitter truth. Kevin immediately suspects an ambiguous relationship with Carl. In a conversation with Tyrone Dobbs – the victim of an accident caused by Carl – Kevin bitterly confesses that their marriage is falling apart. Tyrone’s anger at the lack of justice adds to the gloom.

In the hotel room, Abi admits to Carl that she wants to leave Weatherfield and live freely. Carl just laughs, dismissing the idea. While they are still immersed in the passion, the door suddenly opens: Carl’s sister Debbie stands before them, shocked to see everything. The truth can no longer be hidden. The big question is: what will Debbie do with this terrible secret?
