Next week, Coronation Street takes viewers through the breathtaking emotions of Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

After months of battling testicular cancer, he and his wife Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine) finally return to the hospital for a check-up.

The atmosphere in the waiting room is heavy, as if every breath is tied to a sentence.

Kevin is so worried that his previous lie – when he told Abi that the treatment failed – will be punished by fate.

Abi tries to reassure her husband, but her eyes are lost, as if looking elsewhere.

When the doctor announces the good news: there are no active cancer cells, Kevin breaks down and hugs his wife. He sees this as a “new beginning”, a promise to revive their marriage. “I will never be easily abandoned,” Kevin firmly affirms.
