Ed clearly understands that if Dee-Dee turns herself in, the whole Bailey family will be drowned.

But if he is complicit in silence, he will live forever in a feeling of guilt.

The scene of him sitting alone, his hands shaking, a half-opened bottle of wine on the table, evokes the image of a father about to lose everything. This is the psychological climax that promises to explode in the upcoming episodes: Will Ed choose family or justice?
At the same time, the film’s plot revolving around David becomes increasingly tense. Although he has deleted all emails from prison, the audience understands that Shona is not someone who can be easily fooled.
