Weatherfield next week opens with Carla Connor’s outburst.

While attending lunch with Lisa Swain and Becky Swain, Carla quickly loses patience with Becky’s “at home” attitude.

A small detail – Becky picking food from Lisa’s plate – becomes the last straw.

Carla openly criticizes that Becky does not want a “normal” life and is pursuing some dark agenda.

The harshness makes the lunch end in tension, Carla angrily leaves and goes to the police station.

Here, Carla meets officer Kit Green to express her suspicions that the story of Becky “returning from the dead” with Lisa is full of lies. Carla’s frankness puts Kit in a difficult position, because he is in a relationship with Sarah Platt – Bethany’s mother, who has just returned to Weatherfield unexpectedly.

Bethany Platt’s return was not smooth. She quit her job in London in a state of frustration, and was also accused of stealing her boss’s car. During the interrogation, Bethany tried to explain that she just wanted to escape the suffocating environment, but in fact she was carrying a deep wound in her heart.
