While viewers were still shocked by the series of harsh truths surrounding Abi, Kevin, Carl and Theo, the Coronation Street scriptwriter threw in a new “shock”: Mason Rafcliffe was seriously stabbed, leading to a series of explosive details that left the audience breathless.

Mason is known for being a rebellious person, causing many upsets to Weatherfield residents.

However, in the last episode, when Mason expressed his intention to escape the spiral of guilt imposed by his family, he became the target of revenge.

The gangsters related to Mason did not hesitate to “take action” in the middle of the street, leaving a bloody scene that shocked the entire residential area.

What hurt the audience the most was that Abi was the first person to discover Mason in a critical condition. The scene of Abi calling for help in panic, her hands trembling and covered in blood, made the audience feel suffocated. In that moment, the image of Seb – her son whose life had been taken by violence – haunted Abi, causing her to fall into a state of psychological trauma once again.
