Emmerdale Spoiler: Ross is shocked – Facing the responsibility of being an unwilling father
If Mackenzie left in anger, Ross Barton was stunned when he heard that he was the father of the child.
From the beginning, Ross was only half-believing, constantly forcing Charity to take a blood test.
But when the results were announced, he was still shocked.
The scene clearly depicts the moment Ross stood rooted to the spot in the middle of the Woolpack, his hands trembling as he held the paper, his eyes wide open as he looked at his name clearly printed.

“No… It can’t be…” – Ross muttered, while everyone around turned their eyes to him. A heavy silence fell, then Ross looked up, his eyes filled with panic and anger: “Charity, you have turned me into a laughing stock for the whole village.” Charity burst into tears, begging him to understand, but Ross did not listen. He angrily punched the wall, shouting: “I am not ready to be a father! I never wanted this!”

The truth revealed caused Ross to fall into crisis. From an outsider, he is suddenly forced to shoulder the responsibility of being a father. The audience will see Ross struggle fiercely – both angry at being deceived and scared of the new burden. The scene ends with Ross walking out of the Woolpack into the night, shoulders shaking, leaving Charity kneeling behind and the villagers whispering.
