The climax of the “The Truth” tragedy series on Days of Our Lives will take place next week, when Eli Grant decides to leave Salem forever after learning the whole truth about his background.

The latest promo shows a series of tearful scenes: Valerie kneels, begs for forgiveness from her son, while Eli coldly closes his suitcase, saying the sentence that has the entire online community in an uproar: “I am not your mother anymore.”

Previously, Austin revealed that Valerie not only hid Eli’s biological father – but also received money to keep quiet.

That action, according to Austin, is proof that Valerie had signed an agreement with David Banning to avoid scandal.

When Eli found out, he felt completely betrayed. The promo cuts quickly to painful moments: Valerie bursts into tears, kneels down to hold her son’s hand; Eli pulls away, eyes filled with anger.

But it’s not just Valerie and Eli who are affected – Salem is in shock too. The Horton family, once considered the “moral backbone” of the town, is now under siege. Jennifer Horton tearfully says: “We’ve kept too many secrets, and this is the price.” Every character involved in the incident is dragged into the vortex: from Austin, who is seen as a traitor, to David – who now has to face his past.

The climax of the promo is when Valerie runs to the train station, trying to stop Eli from leaving. She screams in despair: “You are my everything!” Eli stops, his eyes wet but cold: “You are just the truth I’m afraid to face.” That line, simple but haunting, closes the entire tragic series.
