If the previous two episodes of Emmerdale made the audience confused because of the separation, then this week, tears really flowed when Vinny Dingle officially left the village.

After a series of hurt and misunderstandings, he decided to leave to start a new life – leaving Lewis in endless regret.

The opening scene shows Vinny packing his things in a small room, the weak light shining through the window.

The photo of him and Lewis smiling happily falls to the floor, the glass frame breaks in half – a symbol of broken love.

“I can’t stay where every corner reminds me of you,” Vinny says, before getting on the bus to leave Emmerdale.

Meanwhile, Lewis realizes he has been tricked by Kammy. A leaked text message proves that Vinny is completely innocent. He panics, running all over the village to find Vinny. The scene where Lewis rushes out onto the empty road, screaming his lover’s name, leaves the audience breathless. “Vinny! Please come back!” – his voice echoes in the humid air, mixed with the sound of the car engine gradually moving away.

The moment Lewis kneels down in the middle of the road, tears mixed with rain, is considered “the most heartbreaking scene of 2025 of Emmerdale”. Some viewers shared: “The way Lewis calls Vinny’s name really makes me cry. He understands everything too late.”

Behind the scenes, Bradley Riches revealed: “We filmed that scene for 12 hours. The whole crew was silent after the scene ended. It was like a funeral of love.”

The episode ends with Lewis standing in front of Dingle Farm’s gate, watching the last light go out. But perhaps this is not the end. A source from ITV said that Lewis’s storyline will continue, and “a letter from Vinny will be back in the next few episodes” – hinting at the possibility of a surprise reunion.
