Monday’s premiere opens with Tate meeting Sophia at Sweet Bits, where she feigns weakness, saying she’s being threatened by “a mysterious man.”

Sophia’s teary eyes soften Tate, unaware that she’s leading him into a carefully orchestrated plan.

Meanwhile, Johnny and Chanel are secretly watching, suspecting that Sophia is using Tate to get information from Brady, Tate’s father, who has the financial records of the Tesoro project. They overheard Sophia calling: “Things are progressing. Tate trusts me completely.”

The tense situation reached its peak when Tate discovered that Sophia’s phone had a text message from “J.” – a character that matched Javi, who was suspected of being involved in a money laundering scheme in Salem. He tried to stay calm, saying: “What are you hiding from me, Sophia?” But she smiled: “Just an old friend, honey.”

The scene ended with a twist: Sophia left the bar, got into her car, opened her phone and said coldly:

“He took the bait. Prepare for phase two.”
