Coronation Street Spoiler: Kevin leaves the street, Abi loses everything – cheating scandal leaves Weatherfield devastated

After a series of episodes that left viewers breathless with the shock of “Abi having an affair with Carl – Kevin’s younger brother”, Coronation Street this week takes on a darker tone: the aftermath of betrayal.

No more arguing, no more tears of pleading – just people falling apart in the rubble of their own lives.

After everything was exposed publicly at the party, Kevin Webster – the poor husband – almost lost all faith.

He packed his bags, left behind the garage, house number 13, and his past of more than 20 years in this street.

The scene where Kevin stood in front of the mirror, looked at himself and said “I no longer recognize the man in the mirror” brought the audience to tears.

According to a source behind the scenes, the scriptwriter revealed that Kevin’s departure from Coronation Street is not temporary. His character will be absent for at least a few weeks, to “rebuild his life”. His final scene – driving his old van out of town, silently looking back at the “Weatherfield” sign – is considered one of the most emotional scenes of the season.
