From a good student, April was drawn into the world of crime by Ray – a cunning, cold-hearted man, and more than enough cruelty to make anyone submit.

It all started when April and her best friend Dylan accidentally owed Ray a small debt in a small deal.

At first, he only asked them to “help with a little work to pay off the debt”, but as time went on, the task went beyond the limit.

Mysterious packages, rainy night dates, and hidden threats – all made April gradually feel like she was stuck in a spider web with no way out.

One fateful night, Ray takes April to a hotel, saying it’s “the last thing”. But the truth is a cruel trick: he gives her alcohol, makes her confused, then leaves, leaving her in a room with a strange man. When the door slams shut, April understands that she has been sold – betrayed – exploited. Meanwhile, in Emmerdale village, Rhona (April’s guardian) begins to sense that something is wrong.
