As Emmerdale is sinking into turmoil, two seemingly unrelated storylines – Belle Dingle and Rhona Goskirk – suddenly collide.

And that collision could become the biggest focus of the series in 2025.

According to the reveal from the set, in an upcoming special episode, Belle – after being threatened by Tom King and pressured by her family – decides to leave the Dingle house at night.

She wanders on the grey rain road, her stomach already showing.

At the same time, Rhona – in torment for sending April away – drives out to “get some air”.

The two women meet at a crossroads near a field – a fateful moment. Rhona sees Belle standing in the rain, her face pale, immediately stops the car and pulls her inside. No one speaks for the first few minutes. There is only the sound of rain, wind and watery eyes.

Belle says first: “I don’t know what to do.” Rhona sighs: “Neither do I. I’ve just sent my daughter away.”

That line opens one of the most emotional scenes on Emmerdale in years. Two women – one pregnant, one losing a child – sit in a car, sharing a pain that only mothers can understand.

But then comes the twist: when Belle accidentally drops a bag of medical records, Rhona notices the name of the obstetrician on it – the same one who treated her before. She pales, and asks quietly: “Belle, is this baby… related to Tom King?” Belle doesn’t answer, just bursts into tears. Rhona understands.

According to the leak, Rhona will be the only person who knows Belle’s secret – and that opens up the possibility of the two forming an alliance to protect each other from their dark pasts.
