The next day, the whole of Weatherfield was shaken when the story of Tim’s past was exposed publicly.

Brian Packham – Tim’s old friend – accidentally said a detail that shocked everyone: “Tim had a relationship with Trisha when he was 14 years old.”

The statement made the Rovers Return pub fall silent.

Everyone turned to look at Tim and Trisha – who were sitting in the corner of the room, their eyes filled with confusion.

Sally was stunned, not believing what she had just heard. “You were 14?” – she asked, her voice trembling. Tim nodded slightly, his eyes filled with tears.

Trisha tried to justify that it was just “young love” and not abuse. But when the word “grooming” was mentioned, the atmosphere changed completely. Tim bowed his head, unable to say a word.

Sally felt like the world had collapsed. She thought she understood her husband, but now she realises he carries an unspeakable pain. Trisha bursts into tears, saying she never meant to hurt Tim – that she too was a victim of lost youth. But that doesn’t save her from Sally’s angry gaze.

The scene of Sally leaving the bar, tears falling onto the red bricks of Coronation Street, is one of the most heartbreaking moments of the week.
