Coronation Street Spoiler: Becky’s resurrection – a shock that cracks Lisa
Becky Swain – who was once thought dead – suddenly reappears as Lisa Swain prepares to enter a new life with Carla Connor.
No one can believe it when Becky suddenly knocks on the door, her eyes red and saying: “Lisa, I miss you, I miss Betsy” – the opening line of the most spectacular hoax of Coronation Street.
Becky was previously thought to have died in an accident while on duty and disappeared from Lisa and Betsy’s lives for many years.
But now, she makes her first appearance on Betsy’s 18th birthday, leaving the Swain family stunned.

The first scene has fans shivering: Becky stands outside the door, Lisa opens the door trembling, seeing her wife – who she thought was dead – walk in like an old ghost in the house.

Lisa was bewildered, startled, her hands shaking — Becky looked at their daughter, her words choking: “I can’t leave forever, I have to be with you two.” But Becky’s move was not entirely innocent: she had spread the news that she had been placed on a witness protection program, so everything had been staged to protect her from a hidden enemy. Her “fake death” was not necessarily what she wanted, but a choice to survive.
