While Salem was still reeling from Holly’s death, another fight broke out in the DiMera mansion.

Jennifer Horton Deveraux, the always calm woman, exploded in a rare fit of rage when she discovered that her son Chad DiMera was in a relationship with Cat Greene, who had betrayed the Horton family.

At the beginning of the episode, Jennifer appeared in the DiMera living room, standing opposite Chad and Cat.

Her face was red with anger. “Do you really think she’s worth it, Chad?” she asked.

Chad tried to keep his composure: “Mom, I don’t need your permission to love someone.” That statement stunned Jennifer.

Cat Greene, as usual, remained calm, smiling slightly: “Mrs. Horton, maybe you should let your son grow up.” But Jennifer responded immediately, uncompromisingly: “I know exactly what kind of person you are – only interested in power and profit. Don’t think I’ll let you make the same mistake again.”

The atmosphere was tense. Chad was caught between the two strongest women in his life – a mother who would protect her son at all costs, and a lover who had once made him lose his mind.

The climax came when Jennifer threw an envelope on the table: inside was a copy of a leaked email, proving that Cat was secretly contacting EJ DiMera – Chad’s longtime enemy. “Is this your kind of ‘honesty’?” – Jennifer said, her voice sharp. The whole room was silent. Cat trembled slightly, her eyes darting to Chad. “I have my own reasons…” – she said, but no one believed her.

As Cat walked away, Jennifer turned to her son: “You can lose everything because of someone who doesn’t deserve it. Don’t let her drag you down.” Chad collapsed in his chair, his hands holding his head.

In the next scene, Cat gets into the car and calls EJ: “She knows. Jennifer won’t stop.” On the other end of the line, EJ just smiles faintly: “Let me handle it. Salem has never been a place for weak people.”

The conflict between Jennifer – Chad – Cat is now not just a love affair, but has become a battle for power and honor. And when Jennifer starts to act, Salem is about to witness a real “purge”.
