Not only Aaron, but Ruby Milligan is also in the midst of her own crisis when she discovers that her husband – Caleb – has been acting suspiciously.

The next morning, Ruby tried to ask him directly, but Caleb dodged her, saying it was “just personal business.” The more Ruby listened, the more nervous she became. Rumors began to spread in the village that someone had seen Caleb near the scene of a mysterious fight. A woman claimed to have heard screams in the night, then a figure that looked like Caleb left. The rumors spread like wildfire, making Ruby the center of the conversation.

Unable to bear the pressure, Ruby decided to confront him. At dinner, she threw a photo of Caleb in the woods onto the table and asked, “What else do you want me to believe?” The table fell silent. Caleb tried to smile, but his eyes were unnatural. Ruby saw fear in them—and a little guilt.
