Aaron Dingle has endured many secrets in love – but next week, the biggest pain will come when he catches Robert Sugden kissing Kev Townsend in broad daylight.

It is not a hidden scene, but a public confrontation between the three, leaving all three hearts torn apart.

Robert has long hidden his secret marriage with Kev, while still wanting to maintain his love for Aaron.

Victoria has urged Robert to confess the truth to Aaron, but he hesitates, afraid of losing a part of his heart.

The scene: Aaron walks past the Keepers area (the pub) and suddenly witnesses Robert and Kev standing near the door, their eyes deep in love, then a light kiss but enough to make Aaron choke. Robert is startled, tries to retreat, Kev also takes a step back. Aaron stands still and watches them, his eyes chaotic – love, anger, pain all mixed together in the same moment.

Robert tried to explain: “You… that’s the past. I’m the future.” But Aaron refused to listen to the explanation anymore, tears mixed with pain. Kev stood by, his face no longer in control – he was pushed into an emotional mess that he didn’t want.

Next, Robert would have to admit everything: he had secretly married Kev in prison, the broken relationship was the result of hiding for too long. Aaron – who had been betrayed many times – would not forgive easily this time. Kev could appear strong, showing his rights: “I’m also Robert’s wife. I’m not a secret anymore.”

The ending scene of this exercise could be Aaron walking away in the rain, Robert kneeling in the rain, Kev looking at both of them and choking. The audience was kept in the feeling of “not knowing who was right and who was wrong, only knowing that both hearts were broken”.
