DI Costello – who seemed neutral, the enforcer of justice – is now clearly the one in power.

He has a pile of evidence: photos, messages, audio files, access logs.

Costello not only investigates Becky – but sometimes cooperates with Bernie, using pressure to get Becky to do what he wants.

In a new spoiler scene, when Betsy is released, Costello calls Becky and says: “I’ve done my part.

Now it’s your turn. You have to leave here within a month, or…” He pauses, his eyes cold. The unspoken threat is clear: if Becky doesn’t comply, all the evidence will be released.

Costello also arranges for Lisa to think that Lisa’s absence is his fault — creating distance between Becky and Lisa. When Roy, a kind-hearted friend, accidentally came to the apartment and found Lisa and Becky sitting close together on the sofa, Roy’s eyes flickered with suspicion: seeing the two of them being so close, he wondered if there was something unclear.

The final scene opens: Becky, Theo, Bernie, Lisa and Costello are forced to sit together in a discreet cafe. Costello puts a USB stick in the middle of the table, turns on the laptop: on the screen are the files he collected: Bernie’s voice recordings, text message photos, IP access. Bernie denies it: “I did nothing wrong!” Lisa trembles: “Costello, you can’t publish it without solid evidence!” Theo holds Becky’s hand, looking at her worriedly. Becky takes a sip of water, purses her lips: “Whatever you have, just use it. I’m not afraid anymore.” The moment before Costello presses “play” — all eyes turn to Becky. The final scene opens: the screen flashes — the sound of the file playing — and we don’t know what the content will be. Bernie curled up, Costello smiled coldly, Theo hugged Becky, Lisa clasped her hands and trembled.
