Coronation Street Spoiler: DI Costello plays a “dirty trick” – hiring a fake Tia Wardley to trick Lisa and Carla

In the latest episode of Coronation Street, viewers have just witnessed a shocking twist involving DI Costello.

Thinking he was just a slightly mysterious police officer, the episode exposed a daring scam that made both Lisa Swain and Carla Connor victims.

It all started after Carla visited Logan Radcliffe in prison.

Logan revealed a name – Tia Wardley, suggesting that this could be the key to unlocking the truth about Becky Swain, Lisa’s late wife.

Immediately, Costello took action. By inviting a strange woman to the Bistro, he set up a “touching play” to manipulate Lisa’s emotions.

“Fake Tia” cleverly told the story that she was once lured into the wrong path by the Radcliffe brothers, but Becky reached out to help, advise and give her money to change her life. Lisa was moved to tears, believing that there was finally evidence that Becky was a good person, not a corrupt police officer as rumored. Carla was also caught up in her emotions, believing that everything was clear.

However, the audience was stunned when at the end of the episode, “Tia” secretly met Costello in a dark alley. She received a wad of cash from him and calmly admitted: “They don’t know the real Tia Wardley. I just need to play my part.” With just one sentence, Lisa’s entire trust collapsed in the eyes of the audience – even though she herself did not know that she was being tricked.

Costello’s actions not only showed his shady side, but also raised a big question: what was he hiding? Why did he have to make up stories to prove Becky’s innocence? Or was Costello actually the one who knew the darkest secret about Becky’s death? Coronation Street has once again cleverly planted the seeds of doubt, leaving the audience guessing about this character’s true motives.
