But the show doesn’t end so easily. Inside Bayview, Sophia is asked by a doctor: “Do you remember that night?” She replies: “I remember… but they won’t believe me.” This scene parallels Rachel at Marlena’s house – she is drawing a picture of the baby Tesoro and writing three words: “EJ knows everything.” Music blares.
At the end of the episode, Marlena visits Bayview. She puts a tape recorder on the table and asks: “Sophia, if you disappear, who will I find?” Sophia looks up and says softly: “Tesoro.” A tear falls onto her hand. The camera cuts to EJ, standing on the balcony of the DiMera mansion, looking out into the distance, the wind blowing his cape. The audience knows: all the strings are pointing back to him.

That night, Xander receives an anonymous text message: “Bayview can’t hold her.” He looks up, knowing the game isn’t over.
Salem ends the week with Sophia looking through the Bayview window, her eyes half-mad, half-awake. Her voice echoes: “No one tells the truth here.” And the screen goes black, except for the ticking clock – counting down to the next tragedy.
