The drama has not yet cooled down when the “battle line” between Ruby Fox-Miligan and Caleb Milligan has clearly formed.

The two used to help Anya when she first came to the village, but now they have become secret rivals.

Ruby is tough, logical, and does not believe in half-truths.

Caleb is the opposite – he seems compassionate, protecting Anya to the point of making others doubt his motives.

The tension reaches its peak when Ruby discovers that Anya is hiding a secret file – in which there is the name of a company that was once involved with Tom King. Ruby immediately warns Caleb: “Don’t you see? She didn’t come back by accident. She came back to take revenge or to escape.” But Caleb brushes it off: “I’m always suspicious of everyone. She’s just looking for a peaceful place.”

The scene where the two argue heatedly in the Milligan kitchen has been called by fans as “a clash of minds and emotions.” Ruby believes Anya is a threat, Caleb sees her as a victim. Little do they know – the truth may lie somewhere in between: Anya is both the victim and the active player in the unfolding power game. And when the secret explodes, both Ruby and Caleb may have to pay the price for trusting – or not trusting – the wrong person.
