Andy Sugden’s return is not just a family affair.

It also accidentally drags him into the underground war between good and evil – when Ray Walters is secretly manipulating the villagers.

Andy, after returning to the village, quickly discovers strange signs: workers disappear, money from the farm fund evaporates, and Dylan avoids him.

In a scene scheduled to air next week, Andy will encounter Ray for the first time at The Woolpack.

Ray smiles, shakes his hand: “This village has changed, Andy.” – Andy replies: “Yes, but I haven’t.”

That line gives fans goosebumps. Because everyone understands: Andy doesn’t let anyone step on his land. He secretly investigates, discovers Ray is behind the series of black transactions and April’s temporary disappearance. When Andy goes to Dylan, he is confused, only says: “He will kill you if you get involved.”

The climax could see Andy rescuing April from Ray, leading to a chase in the rain across the Dales – a scene reminiscent of classic Emmerdale.
