One of the most confusing twists this week is the disappearance of Ryan Mulvey, a character that the audience just got to know and then… disappeared without a trace.

Behind-the-scenes news said that the crew is “intentionally blurring” the truth to create an explosion for the next episode.

Ryan was originally built as a gentle, kind character, who helped Asha Alahan overcome the crisis.

But suddenly one day, he “left the street” and no one knew why.

Only a few people whispered: “He knows something he shouldn’t know”.
What makes the audience suspicious is that the time Ryan disappeared coincided with Eva and Ben returning to Weatherfield. Is he the one keeping the secret related to the Driscoll family? Or did he have a relationship with Eva in the past?

A particularly chilling detail is the final scene of the episode: Ryan’s phone rings, the caller ID is “M”, and then the screen goes black. Fans immediately assumed “M” was Maggie Driscoll – the woman pulling the strings behind it all. Others have suggested that Ryan “faked a disappearance” to investigate the truth – a twist Corrie is fond of using: having a character leave, then return at a climax to “unmask everything”. Either way, Ryan Mulvey is now the focus of suspicion. And one thing is for sure: someone in Weatherfield is lying.
