The second drama of the week that gave the audience goosebumps was the secret war between Gwen Shaughnessy and EJ DiMera – two seemingly unrelated characters who were bound by a dark plan.

EJ – the DiMera boss – “captured” Gwen by making her his personal assistant, in exchange for a promise: “Work for me, you will have power.”

But power in Salem always comes with a price.

When Gwen discovered the illegal documents that EJ forced her to sign, she began to realize that she was just a pawn in his game.

A scene that made the audience’s hair stand on end: Gwen walked into EJ’s office in the middle of the night, threw a stack of papers on the table and shouted: “I am not your puppet!” – EJ turned his chair around, his voice low: “You just rejected DiMera, Gwen. Do you know what that means?” – then laughed coldly.

From there, Gwen began her battle for survival. She sought out Belle Black for legal advice, and secretly copied data from EJ’s computer. The scene of her shaking as she plugged in the USB in the DiMera office made everyone who watched it jump. Fans also discovered that the preview showed that EJ had realized her betrayal and ordered someone to follow her.

Gwen – who was once naive and easy to manipulate – has now turned into a “dark warrior”. But the question is: is she strong enough to defeat someone like EJ, who is both powerful and cold-blooded? Or will she collapse before she can show her cards?

At the end of the trailer, EJ calls someone, her voice low: “She won’t survive until Halloween.” – A chilling warning, making fans believe that the screenwriter is preparing for the most terrifying twist of the season.
