Three months ago, Paddy Kirk’s feisty old dad, Bear Wolf, left Emmerdale on a tearful and tense note.

After a heated argument in which Paddy suggested his dad might be suffering from dementia, Bear angrily announced he was going to Ireland to live with his old wrestling friends.

Paddy, desperate and embarrassed, decided to give his dad the space he needed, believing Bear would return soon after he had calmed down.

But behind the hasty departure was a perfectly concealed lie, and now the shocking truth is about to be revealed, sending Paddy into a panic attack.

Next week, Emmerdale sees Paddy’s confidence collapse. It all started with a seemingly innocuous item: a mysterious package arrived, addressed to Bear Wolf. With Bear absent for a long time, Paddy decided to open it.

The contents of the package – be it a returned invoice, a letter from an unknown address, or an item that Bear was supposed to receive in Ireland – revealed an undeniable truth: Bear had never set foot on the emerald island! His plan to visit his wrestling friends was doomed from the start, or worse, it was just an excuse for him to disappear.
