Coronation Street is set for a life-or-death confrontation when corrupt and powerful police officer DI Costello decides to take matters into his own hands.

Becky, who has just returned from the dead, is an unforgivable threat to Costello and Lisa Swain’s new life.

The love triangle between Becky, Lisa and Carla has become a ticking time bomb.

Carla, who is infatuated with Lisa, and Becky, her ex-husband who suddenly reappears, are constantly at odds with each other.

Lisa, who is caught between her new love and her complicated past, turns to Costello for advice. She asks about a legal “loophole” that would allow her and Carla to get married immediately. But Costello dashes all hope, and worse, he makes a cruel suggestion: convince Becky to “play dead” again, a euphemism for murder.

The situation becomes even more tense when Lisa tries to postpone her wedding to Carla, citing fear of bigamy because Becky is still alive.
