After leaving Aaron, thinking that everything was over, Robert falls into another nightmare.

A series of anonymous messages continuously appear: “Do you think you can escape?”

“I know what you did to Lachlan.”

Robert realizes that someone is following him.

He begins to suspect everyone around him – from Cain, to Moira, even Vic – because they all have reasons to want him gone. A terrifying scene shows Robert waking up in the middle of the night, the house door is open, and in the yard are strange footprints leading to the barn.

Ryan Hawley (male lead) shared with Yahoo! that the upcoming episodes will explore Robert’s “mental panic”: “He starts dreaming and doesn’t know what is real. Someone wants him to go crazy before he does anything.”

Emmerdale fans are in an uproar: is this a revenge plan from Lachlan’s relatives? Or is it Aaron – the betrayed one – who is sending those messages? Each episode seems to push Robert deeper into a dark corner, where the line between perpetrator and victim is completely blurred.
