The whole Emmerdale village is whispering about the mysterious pregnancy of Charity Dingle – the woman once considered the “Queen of Intrigue” of Yorkshire.

After a series of events, it seemed like her life had temporarily calmed down, but no – this time, Charity herself is trapped in her own lie.

In the new episodes, Charity appears with a different insecurity than usual.

From delaying the pregnancy test to avoiding everyone’s gaze, she seems to be hiding something beyond her control.

When Chas Dingle – her close friend, also a rare person who is perceptive enough – asks: “Why haven’t you shown Mackenzie the ultrasound results?”, Charity just smiles awkwardly, looking away. The audience seems to feel the trembling in each of those glances.

Rumours are rife that Charity’s unborn child may not be Mackenzie Boyd’s. An insider has revealed that she’s facing a “shocking” DNA result, and fears that if the truth is revealed, her entire reputation – and current love life – will collapse in seconds. A leaked hospital scene shows Charity silently looking at the results in her hand, tears falling, then crumpling the paper and stuffing it into her pocket.

The situation becomes even more tense when Jacob Gallagher accidentally catches Charity at the hospital. The scene of him standing in the corridor, accidentally overhearing a few lines of conversation with the doctor, makes the audience sweat: will Jacob tell Chas? Or keep quiet out of sympathy?
