Days Of Our Lives Spoiler: Rafe & Gabi Say Goodbye to Baby Tesoro – Tears of Silent Parents

The most emotional episode this week was definitely the scene where Rafe Hernandez and Gabi Hernandez had to say goodbye to baby Tesoro – the child they had cared for, loved, and considered part of their family.

As soon as Johnny and Chanel officially became legal parents, Rafe and Gabi knew their duty was over.

But “knowing” does not mean “ready to let go”.

In the goodbye scene, Rafe bent down to hug Tesoro, trying to hold back tears as he said: “You will always have a home here, wherever you go.”

Meanwhile, Gabi could only stand still, her hands shaking, watching the baby she had called “baby” for months now leave her arms.

When Rafe looked at Gabi, both of them said nothing – but viewers felt the pain breaking out in silence. Gabi then took her daughter, Arianna, outside to get some air, but tears still rolled down. A mother who lost a child she was attached to – even if not blood-related – still felt heartbroken.

The episode scored big points for its realistic yet unabashed portrayal of grief. There were no screams, no tears. Just looks, handshakes, and silence that left the audience with a lump in their throats. Rafe walked out of Horton Square, the sunlight shining on his face, reflecting a man who had lost but still chose to smile.

The final scene between the two brothers was described by many fans as “heartbreaking”: Gabi turned back to look at the house, quietly saying to Rafe, “Do you think she will miss us?” – and Rafe replied, “I hope she will, but more importantly, I hope she will be happy.”

Days of Our Lives proved once again: no plot twist needed, a genuine farewell scene is enough to shake the whole of Salem.
