After many years apart, Sami Brady officially returned to Salem just in time for Days of Our Lives’ 60th anniversary — and her appearance was like an earthquake that shook the entire cast of veteran characters.

It was supposed to be a warm reunion, but Sami walked into the Horton Clinic gala hall with a calculating look in her eyes, and just saying hello to EJ DiMera was enough to freeze the atmosphere.

EJ, now the one holding most of the power in the DiMera family, was speaking among reporters when he suddenly stopped when he saw his ex-wife walk straight towards him, smiling half-heartedly and saying:

“Congratulations, EJ. But in the past 60 years, Salem has changed — but you have not.”

From then on, the relationship that had been buried between the two was “resurrected”. They exchanged looks of both pain and hatred. Lucas Horton, watching from afar, immediately tensed up — because he had been the one to interfere in this love affair. Amidst the music and congratulations, the three formed a love triangle that made the whole hall stuffy.

It didn’t stop there, the spoiler revealed: Sami returned not simply to “attend the ceremony”, but to expose the secret of the DiMera family. She held in her hands documents that revealed a shady deal that EJ had hidden for many years.

In the middle of the gala, when the lights turned golden, the big screen suddenly turned on to show a video… sent by Sami herself! EJ was stunned, Lucas smiled, and the Salem audience exploded.

The episode promises to be the biggest explosion of the season, when the villain and hero switched places in just a few minutes.
