If anyone is the most pitiful in this arc, it’s Chad DiMera. He lost control of his family, lost faith, and now fears that he’s lost Cat – the person he thought would come back to him.

According to spoilers, Chad becomes unstable after seeing Cat and EJ exchange “confusing” looks.

He starts following them, checking their every move, even asking Julie to know “Where was Cat that night”.

Julie is confused because she’s never seen Chad panic like that.

The climax takes place in the park: Chad blocks EJ and Cat’s path while they’re arguing. EJ steps forward, while Cat avoids Chad’s eyes. Chad shouts:
“Don’t tell me you two are together behind my back!”
EJ replies: “It’s none of your business.”
That moment ruins everything.

What makes the audience more heartbreaking: Chad confides in Jennifer in tears, confessing that he feels “invisible” in his own life. Jennifer – with old pain – hugs Chad, comforting that it’s not over.
