This week, Coronation Street feels like someone has switched on disaster mode.

Every major character has changed, and the scary thing is: they’re all linked together in a chain of dominoes.

First domino: Billy leaves the show. A character as “balanced” as Billy disappears, leaving Todd without a moral anchor.

Billy is the only person Todd can count on when he’s down. And just as Billy is about to leave, Todd gets into a drama with Theo – a drama that completely derails Todd.

Final domino: Todd loses control. Billy leaves, leaving Todd with no one to hold him back. Drama with Theo makes Todd both hurt and angry. The secret of the van makes Todd scared. All of this adds up to a heavily predicted storyline: Todd will take action that will shock the whole street.
