In the darker corners of the story, Jennifer Horton’s legal battle is the most dangerous line.

Spoilers reveal that Justin Kiriakis — who rarely takes things seriously — gives Jennifer a stark warning, leaving her frozen in her law office.

Scene opens: Jennifer brings custody documents to Justin.

She’s determined to fight to regain control of Thomas and Charlotte.

But Justin, after reviewing the documents and the turmoil happening in Salem, puts the documents down and says, “Jennifer, you’re playing with fire.”

Jennifer is annoyed: “I have the right to protect my family.”

Justin replies: “Yes. But this time… it’s not just about family. It’s about DiMera, about Brady, about Sarah, about the lab that EJ is running. If you make one wrong move… everything will fall apart.”

Jennifer stands still. Justin’s words weren’t meant to be threatening. He’s warning her because he sees the future.

He continues: “You can’t rely on your emotions right now. Any information that leaks out — from Brady hugging Sarah, to Rafe and Cat getting into trouble — could come back to bite you.”

Justin also leaves a chilling line:
“There are battles where winning… can also mean losing more than losing. Are you ready to make the trade-off?”
