The focus of the drama shifts to Brady Black and his daughter Rachel Black – who is falling deeper into a psychological crisis.

Rachel is unstable, has sudden agitated episodes and increasingly extreme behavior.

Brady knows his daughter needs long-term treatment at Bayview, but that decision opens the most painful tragedy of his life.

The scene where Rachel cries, bangs her hand on the hospital door, and screams calling Brady a “traitor” makes the audience stunned.

Brady’s eyes are full of conflict, but he is forced to leave because he believes that keeping Rachel by his side will only make his daughter worse. The moment he turns his back, his back bent, trying to hide his sobs – is the most “heartbreaking” moment of the entire movie arc.

Rachel refuses to accept it. She believes her father abandoned her. The nights she sits in the therapy room, staring at the ceiling home, trembling, wondering: “If Dad loved me, why wasn’t he here?” That obsession made Rachel more withdrawn, more and more out of control. When the doctor asked Rachel to face the accumulated trauma from the old family story, Rachel only responded with a terrifying silence.

Brady was no better. He looked at the empty house, looked at the shirt Rachel left in the room, and knew that he had just broken his daughter’s heart. But if she kept Rachel at home, she could hurt herself – or worse, hurt others. Brady chose to “leave to protect”, but that very departure tore his soul apart. The man who seemed the strongest in Salem, now had only sunken eyes with sadness.
