When adults fight over hatred, power or money, everything can be temporarily acceptable.

But when a child is dragged into that fight, the whole Salem feels pain. Jennifer Horton – with all the love she has for her grandson Thomas – decided to stand up, file a petition to the court and bring the whole family into the most fierce battle: to win custody of the child.

That’s why Jennifer stood strong in court, declaring that she would take Thomas to a safer place, filled with true affection, not putting pressure, responsibility or family secrets on a child’s shoulders. She fought with her heart, with the experience of loss, with the fear that Thomas – if he stayed – would be affected by forces that he was not old enough to fight against.
