If the previous article was a storm from Theo and Maggie, this week Coronation Street continues to “drop bombs” with another even more intense line: the case of Becky Swain secretly stealing syringes from the hospital and the plan to clear the way to hide the crime.

Parallel to that is the collapse of the Carla – Lisa relationship, opening a series of painful and shocking dramas.

At the beginning of the story, tension escalates when DI Costello – the victim of the mysterious attack – is gradually waking up after surgery.

For Becky, this is a real nightmare.

Costello’s awakening means the truth is given the green light; and if Costello says anything about who caused the tragedy, Becky will be the first to reveal her face. In fear of being exposed, Becky did the most daring thing ever: broke into the medical supplies warehouse and stole a syringe, planning to act before the victim was fully awake.

The scene where Becky’s hand trembled but still tried to take the syringe sent chills down the audience’s spine. This was no longer a matter of jealousy or a harmless lie. This was a dangerous move that could push Becky into an endless abyss. The tension increased when a nurse almost caught Becky. If it had been just a few seconds later, Becky would have fallen into the trap right there.

Parallel to the crime plot, Carla Connor was immersed in heartbreak when Lisa frankly confessed: “I used to love you, but now it’s over.” This confession was like a stab to Carla’s heart. The two had had beautiful moments, hard-to-hide glances, but Lisa decided to stop. What hurt viewers the most was not the breakup, but the sincerity with which Lisa said it – as if she was in as much pain as Carla.
