Coronation Street Spoiler: Bethany Platt returns and Kit Green’s ‘hard-hitting’ interrogation
Bethany Platt’s return to Weatherfield will not be a “coming home to celebrate” type of thing, but a “coming home to be interrogated” type of thing.
Bethany is called to the police station on suspicion of using her boss’s car and leaves London in a rather “unsettled” mood.
Opening scene: Kit Green leads Bethany into the interrogation room.
Bethany sits there, looking gaunt, looking at the chair opposite and says: “I just quit my job… didn’t think it would get this serious.”

But Kit has a different look: “You know it’s a crime to use a car without permission, Bethany.” Bethany bursts out: “I left because they fired me… not because I wanted to.”
On the other hand, Bethany’s return has touched the hearts of her long-time relatives – especially her ex-boyfriend Daniel Osbourne – who are unsure whether they will be happy or sad to see her back. Bethany reveals to her mother Sarah Platt that she “quit her job before she was forced out”.

Drama Point: Bethany brings a car key that was locked in the garage — Sarah looks at it and asks, “What is this?” Bethany avoids eye contact and says, “I don’t know…” — watch as Sarah becomes suspicious and starts questioning Daniel.
The End: Bethany is not just running away from the old, she’s moving into the new — and in the process, she may reveal information related to Carla, Kit, and Lisa (because their relationship with Becky is hot). When Bethany finishes questioning? It could be a big blowup for the whole neighborhood.
My prediction: Bethany will go to Becky for help — and Becky will use it as a “card” against Carla. When Kit finds out the truth — Lisa and Carla will be involved.
