Weatherfield exploded this week when Carla Connor accidentally caught Becky Swain – who was once thought to be “dead” – appearing in… a bathrobe at Lisa Swain’s house.

Just one moment was enough to push the entire relationship between Carla and Lisa to the brink.

For Carla, it was not just shock, but the feeling of someone “taking back” the life she had just touched.

Becky was Lisa’s ghost from the past. The whole town thought she had disappeared forever, leaving Lisa with a pain that had never been resolved.

When Lisa gradually healed and began to build a new future with Carla, Becky suddenly appeared, causing Lisa to be twisted into two poles: one side was a new, stable love, the other side was an old lover who was both a “wound” and a “home”.

The scene where Carla entered the house, opened the living room door and saw Becky standing there with wet hair, wearing a white robe, her eyes were hard to read, and Lisa was like “wait for me to explain”… made the audience fall apart. Carla felt betrayed even though Lisa had done nothing wrong — because the most painful thing is when no one does anything but you still feel redundant.

Lisa fell into a state of real panic. Becky returned without warning, telling a vague story about “being saved”, “being hidden”, and “not being able to come back sooner”. The way Becky looked at Lisa was not like “I came back to close the door on the past”, but a look that made the audience wonder: “What do you want? Lisa, or the truth about the fake death before?”
