Carla Connor – Weatherfield’s steely soul – has officially entered “zero tolerance” mode when suspicions surrounding Becky and Theo pile up to the point that even she feels the safety of the whole neighborhood is threatened.

As Becky keeps behaving strangely and avoiding questions, Carla begins to piece together the details: Becky’s sudden appearance, the mysterious empty time, the suspicious connection between Becky and Theo, and investigator Kit Green marking the case “not closed”.

Carla doesn’t hold out for long. In the middle of the meal, she stands up, slams her hand on the table, startling even Lisa.

She says straight to Becky’s face:
“You don’t want to be normal. You want to control everything.”

Becky was silent, but the faint smile that flashed across her lips was like a drop of oil on the fire.

Without waiting another second, Carla rushed straight to the police station. There, she met Kit Green – who was not surprised to see Carla come. It seemed that Kit was also gathering information but was missing an important piece – and Carla might be the one to bring it.

Carla detailed Becky’s every move since her return. Kit’s eyes began to sharpen, and he admitted that Becky’s return did not match the old forensic report. In other words: Becky’s death had been unclear from the beginning.

Carla and Kit came up with a new hypothesis, which sounded crazy but fit all the pieces: Becky had disappeared on purpose. Her return coincided with the time Theo’s past was brought up. A secret that involved both of them. A plan that had been built for a long time.
