If Theo’s incident was the first stab at the peace of Weatherfield, then Carla Connor and Lisa’s love story is the second — silent and fatal.

The couple once considered the most stable in the show are facing their most stressful time since moving in together, and the reason is… soapy: exes move in together, plus financial pressure, messy work schedules and endless unfinished conversations.

It all started when Lisa’s ex suddenly appeared and asked for temporary residence.

Carla initially appeared calm, but everyone could tell it was the “let’s see how you go” type of calm.

As time goes by, the presence of the ex becomes a fire that burns down the balance in the house: the dishes don’t match, the living habits are different, the smell of the old perfume makes Carla uncomfortable, and the small talk between Lisa and the ex makes Carla think “who am I in this house?”
