If you’re a Coronation Street fan and tuned in to ITV tonight hoping to catch some Weatherfield drama, then we’re sorry – Corrie has been “kicked” off the airwaves.

Instead of hearing the noise at the Rovers or witnessing Becky Swain’s moves, viewers were… “treated” to a Carabao Cup football match.

The postponement of Coronation Street not only left fans disappointed, but also created a real void: everyone was impatient because the plot was as tense as a bowstring.
