Coronation Street Spoiler: Coronation Street week from hell: From Christmas weddings to dark alley victims, who’s still standing?
Looking at the whole Christmas week – Boxing Day – New Year’s Eve of Coronation Street 2025, it’s easy to understand why fans call this “Weatherfield’s hell week”.
It all started with a flashy appearance: lights were strung all over the Street, Rovers Return was full of people, Debbie – Ronnie’s wedding was prepared like a mid-winter fairy tale.
But the deeper the episodes went, the clearer it became: Corrie was setting up a chain of dominoes, just waiting for someone to touch it and everything would fall down.
First was the wedding. Debbie entered the holiday season with the hope of rebuilding her life, while Ronnie tried to stand firm as the pillar of the relationship.

However, with the Christmas music in the background, financial worries, secrets and Carl’s suspicious presence followed like a shadow. Viewers sat watching, waiting to see the wedding dress, worrying whether this wedding would come true or become a new “classic disaster” of Corrie – where the bride was betrayed on what was supposed to be the most beautiful day.
In parallel, Carl’s story made this week not only a love drama but also a journey of self-destruction. From scenes of secretly reading account balances to calls with bad news about his mother, Carl was peeled away layer by layer: from a slippery man to a person pushed by the past and grief into making wrong choices.

Episodes near Christmas brought him to a breaking point, where the next confession or lie could cost him everything: money, love, friends, even his position on the Street. Meanwhile, Rovers Return became a “pressure cooker” for the whole community. The Driscoll family stood in the center of the spotlight, having to serve beer to the whole village while trying to keep old secrets from being brought up again.
