ITV has confirmed that on January 5, 2026, the two worlds will collide in a one-hour special, on an unprecedented scale in British soap opera history.

Leaked trailers from the production team show a series of chaotic scenes: a multi-car crash, smoke and fire, blaring ambulance sirens, and familiar faces from both shows appearing in a panic.

Becky, Lisa, Carl Webster, and even Kim Tate from Emmerdale are all featured in this tearful scene.

Rumors suggest that at least one key character will die, and this event will kick off the “Aftershock” storyline, which will run until mid-2026.
